Course Objective

The course is designed to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for planning, organizing, and conducting patrol operations in various operational environments.

The primary objective of the course is to prepare specialists capable of operating effectively as part of a patrol team, ensuring movement security, maintaining situational awareness, and making decisions in response to emerging threats or sudden contact with hostile elements.

The course is intended for military personnel, law enforcement officers, security professionals, and operators of private military and security companies performing tasks in high-risk and hostile environments.

Course Description

The Combat Patrolling course is a training program focused on studying the principles of organizing and conducting patrol operations in various operational environments.

The program considers patrolling as an independent operational element of small groups, applied in different types of operations, including military, security, and stabilization missions.

The primary focus of the course includes:

— organization and leadership of a patrol team
— safe movement of the team across various types of terrain
— sector control and observation
— internal team coordination and communication
— patrol actions when facing threats or enemy contact
— planning and preparation of patrol missions

The course models realistic patrol scenarios and provides students with practical experience operating as part of a patrol team.

Training is conducted by instructors with verified combat and instructional experience in training military personnel and security professionals.

Duration and Training Methods

3 days (30 training hours)
Theory and practical training

Theoretical and practical sessions are conducted:

— in classrooms of the Alfa-Metal Training Center
— at the training center shooting range
— within the training facility’s scenario training village and tactical training areas during practical scenarios and missions simulating real operational conditions

During the course, the infrastructure, equipment, and training resources of the Alfa-Metal Training Center are utilized.

Requirements and Prerequisites

— Experience in handling long-barrel firearms
— Mandatory completion of the Tactical Carbine Course
— Physical and psychological readiness for intensive practical training
— Tactical medicine training is recommended
— Completion of a TLP (Troop Leading Procedures) course is recommended

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, each student will:
