Course Objective

The course is designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for safe and coordinated actions as part of small tactical teams operating in buildings and confined spaces within an urban environment.

The primary objective of the course is to prepare an operator capable of functioning effectively within a team during operations in urban areas, safely operating in confined spaces, properly allocating sectors of responsibility, maintaining internal team coordination, and applying basic procedures for room entry and operations inside buildings.

The course is built on a practical training approach and is intended for military personnel, law enforcement officers, and private security specialists requiring basic training for operations in urban environments and confined spaces.

Course Description

The CQB Basic Course is a comprehensive training program combining theoretical instruction with intensive practical training aimed at mastering fundamental procedures for operations in buildings and urban environments.

The program focuses on developing stable practical skills in safe team operations, role distribution, sector control, movement within buildings, and operator interaction while conducting tasks in confined environments.

The primary emphasis is placed on proper team organization, safe entry into rooms, control of threat directions, coordination of operators’ actions, and decision-making under conditions of limited time and space.

Training is conducted by instructors with verified operational and instructional experience, including experience in training special units and security specialists.

Duration and Methods

6 days (approximately 55 training hours)
Theory and practice

Theoretical and practical training sessions are conducted:

— in classrooms of the Alfa-Metal Training Center
— at the training center shooting range
— at tactical training facilities of the center during practical exercises and scenarios simulating team operations in buildings and urban environments

The infrastructure and equipment of the Alfa-Metal training center are used throughout the training process.

Requirements and Conditions

— Basic skills in safe handling of handguns and long guns
— Completion of a tactical shooting course with carbine and pistol (separate or combined)
— Physical readiness for intensive practical training

Final Outcome

Upon completion of the course, each participant will:

— gain a systematic understanding of team operations principles in CQB conditions
— master basic procedures for entry and operations inside buildings
— acquire practical skills in team interaction and sector responsibility allocation
— master safe movement within buildings and control of threat directions
— gain practical experience operating within small tactical teams
— improve short-distance shooting skills within a CQB context
— complete a final comprehensive exercise followed by performance analysis
— receive an official certificate and recommendations for further professional development
