Course Objective:

The Night Driving course is designed to develop in students the practical and theoretical skills required for safe, controlled, and concealed operation of SUV vehicles in conditions of limited or no visibility, elevated risk, and a potentially hostile operational environment.

The primary objective of the course is to prepare a driver capable of operating effectively as part of a mobile team, performing tasks related to covert movement, escort and evacuation, route planning and halt procedures, vehicle operation under reduced visibility conditions, understanding the impact of vehicle systems, terrain navigation, maintaining operational movement security, identifying typical threats, and responding effectively to incidents and emergency situations.

The course is intended for personnel preparing for roles within special operations units, government security structures, and private military companies operating in high-risk environments, unstable conditions, and combat zones.

The Night Driving course is a comprehensive program combining theoretical instruction with practical training focused on vehicle operation in conditions of limited or no visibility
The program covers key aspects of covert movement in combat and high-risk environments, including driving safety, visibility limitations, perception of space and distance, and the application of night vision equipment.

During the course, students examine the impact of vehicle systems on night driving performance, vehicle preparation in accordance with blackout requirements, and the principles of route planning and movement, including convoy operations, signaling, and coordination
The practical component focuses on actions in emergency situations, including contact scenarios, evacuation under fire, maneuvering, and effective use of terrain.

Duration and Methods

2 days (30 training hours)
Theory and practical training

Theoretical and practical sessions are conducted:

• in the classrooms of the Alfa-Metal Training Centre
• within the training facility grounds
• on tactical training areas and in difficult terrain as part of practical scenarios simulating real operational conditions

The training process utilizes the infrastructure, equipment, and resources of the Alfa-Metal Training Centre

Terms and Requirements

• Valid Category B driving license
• Basic vehicle handling skills
