Alfa-Metal can provide you with a transfer from the Sofia airport to the training centre near Gabrovo.

Accommodation options:

  • Increased convenience (the hotel is located on the Alfa-Metal training facility) 300m from the weapons training grounds.
  • Military conditions (military-type panel houses) 50 m from the weapons training grounds.


External Accommodation

If the accommodation facility is fully booked, trainees will be accommodated in a partner hotel with high standards of comfort and convenience, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay. Transportation between the hotel and our base, in both directions, will be provided at our expense.

Meals:

Meals are selected according to your preferences. Considerations for cultural, religious and special diets must be specified by the student before arrival. Food intolerances, allergies or individual requests will be taken into account.

Course Objective:

This course is designed for people who want to transform their basic skills into professional skills in the field of tactical medicine and effective pre-medical first aid in combat and high-risk operating conditions. The main objective is to acquire advanced and comprehensively relevant theoretical and practical skills based on experience from recent wars and conflicts, such as effective first aid under enemy fire, with emphasis on tactical elements, detailed planning and rapid evacuation. The main focus of the course is on people who work in both government and commercial paramilitary or VIP security in high-risk environments and are constantly faced with the rigours of combat.

Description:

This course consists of theoretical (50%) and practical (50%) parts, during which the students will learn the advanced aspects of pre-medical care on the battlefield, working with the SMARCHE algorithm and detailed medical planning. During the course, students will undergo intensive hands-on training in tactical paramedic situations both during the day and at night using night vision optics. Students will also be given recommendations for further training.

The course is conducted on the modern, certified weapons polygon of the Alfa-Metal training centre. The course is conducted by highly qualified instructors with extensive combat and/or instructional experience.

End statement:

At the end of the course, the students will have fully mastered all theoretical and practical aspects of the training. They will learn to confidently provide first aid in high-risk environments and during combat operations. Based on your demonstrated proficiency you will receive a certificate and additional recommendations for further development in the field.

  • Difference between pre-medical care in normal and combat operating conditions.
  • Effect of battlefield factors on the delivery of medical care.
  • Statistics.
  • Stages of medical care in the red, yellow, and green zones.
  • Advanced information on the structure of the human body and vital systems.
  • Mechanisms of injury depend on the type of damage and enemy weaponry.
  • Initial examination of the wounded person.
  • Familiarity with the S/M.A.R.C.H.E algorithm as well as its analogues.
  • Detailed examination of the wounded.
  • Preparation and fitting of medical equipment.
  • Personal protective equipment and its operation in a combat environment.
  • Tourniquets, tamponades, haemostatic agents and their operation in a high-risk environment.
  • Airways, types of obstruction and their elimination take into account the factors of the battlefield.
  • Pneumothorax, types and rendering of the first pre-medical aid taking into account the high-risk environment.
  • Abdominal injuries, internal bleeding and the order of work with the wounded of this type.
  • Fractures, dislocations, burns, immobilization of extremities using all available methods.
  • Intravenous access, working with infusions in combat conditions.
  • Head injuries.
  • Eye injuries.
  • Shock conditions.
  • Analgesics.
  • Transporting the casualty, movement tactics, evacuation.
  • 9 Line Medevac.
  • Transfer of the casualty to medical facilities.
  • Medical support and evacuation planning.
  • Introduction to tactical medicine.
