ADVANCED SNIPER TRAINING

Course Objective

This course is designed to transform basic sniper skills into an advanced level required for effective work at long-range distances up to 1000 meters.
The main objective is to expand the student’s understanding of external ballistics, principles of the sniper weapon system, wind reading, corrections, ballistic adjustments, and to prepare the student for the next stage of the Alfa-Metal sniper training program.

This course represents the third level in the sniper training system:
Designed Marksman → Sniper Class III Course → Sniper Class II → Sniper Class I

Course Description

The course is intended for students who have already completed the Basic Sniper Course and are ready to proceed to long-range shooting.

The program combines in-depth theory and intensive practical training with emphasis on:
– external ballistics
– wind behavior at different trajectory heights
– corrective techniques and ballistic adjustments
– specific features of shooting at 800–1000 m
– core elements of sniper fieldcraft

The practical component includes live-fire exercises, shot analysis, work with ballistic software, building shooting positions, wind-related drills, as well as the use of surveillance devices and electro-optical systems for precision shooting under limited visibility.

All training is conducted by instructors with confirmed combat and professional experience.

Duration & Methodology

10 days (100 training hours) | Theory & Practical drills
Training takes place in the classroom and on the certified shooting range of the Alfa-Metal Training Centre.

Entry Requirements

• Successful completion of the Sniper Class III — mandatory
• Possession of a personal sniper weapon system — recommended

End State

Upon completion of the course, each student:
• will acquire the fundamentals of long-range shooting up to 1000 m
• will understand advanced principles of external ballistics
• will learn to apply corrective techniques under variable wind conditions
• will be able to operate ballistic calculators and a weather station
• will master the principles of the Sniper–Spotter team
• will gain skills in building shooting positions and concealed movement
• will be introduced to night-time shooting and thermal optics
• will complete a final practical assessment and receive a certificate of completion
